Storyboard

Lolita

Whether is be sweet or gothic the key elements are ruffles, bow and bell shaped skirts. Lots of surface elements, aprons, lace, and cute hats and headbands make lolita style tons of fun. Generally speaking the cuter the better!

Steampunk
Imagine a world in which Victorian fashion stuck and steam power runs everything. Classy men in three piece suits flying airships while edgy women in corsets and goggles maintain the engine. From dapper to dirty, this style is both fashionable and rough. The perfect balance between soft flow and hard construction.

  1. I love both of these themes-- but..... I think Lolita speaks more to your style and I think we have seen alot of Steam punk , so Lolita may feel newer and fresher.

  4. I really like your steam punk story board. Especially the sweet little romper and knee highs. I think that is a great silhouette you could build on for a collection!

Seriously I found that picture like 6 months ago and saved it. Its like my favorite outfit ever.

I'm a big fan of the high-waisted shorts with suspenders/overall/romper type of thing

  5. The dark burgundys and blacks look great with stripes in your second theme. I'm definitely inspired by gothic looks that show an appreciation for design, and this is well represented in your Steampunk storyboard.

  6. I like both of your story boards a lot! They're both very original sources and I'm super jealous. If I had to pick one I guess it would be the Lolita, but only because thats where my style leans. Both boards are really well developed and show good continuity.

  7. These storyboards have Jamie written all over them! I love both of your inspirations. I like how you chose the doll-like styles for your first one. That is a solid idea with a lot of potential! Great job. Very inspiring!

  8. Hell yeah for making Lolita and Steampunk fashionable. I am a fan of how deliciously pastel everything on the first board is. And anyone that can wear brown is alright in my book. Steampunk owl is the best.

  9. The lolita style allows you to dress up like a doll. It is just plain adorable.

  10. The Steampunk one needs to happen. I think people should go back to dressing classy all the time, just saying.

  14. FIFTEENTH COMMENT AGAAIIIN! well you know how i feel about frothy skirts, and too many bows, and pastel paired with black: CAN'T GET ENOUGH OF IT. but seriously, gorgeous colors and great silhouettes are rampant here and i approve. it would be criminally negligent for me not to mention the steampunk board. if i could wear a bustle every day i would. cool story, board. *smirk*

  15. Most people just made storyboards that match and looked cute, but you actually made storyboards that fit you as a designer. I can actually see you making the things in these boards. I think I like the second board the best. The colors go well and like i said before, it is so you

  16. Steam Punk is more appealing to me, I really like the bustle on the dress and the owl has cool hardware.
